Thursday, March 23rd 223, 3:7 pm It's Arbor Week in Oklahoma and to celebrate, students planted 15 trees on Thursday in Tulsa. Growing with care and rooted in tradition, dozens of elementary students from Riverfield Country Day School teamed up at Aaronson Park to plant new trees in honor of Arbor Week. Leading up to national Arbor Day in late April, Arbor Week is celebrated in Oklahoma this week because experts said it's the perfect time to get new trees in the ground. City of Tulsa Urban Forester David Zucconi said new trees are planted this week every year.
